With it’s sights firmly set on the Porsche Cayman market Jaguar’s new C-X16 two seater hybrid will be shown at this week’s Frankfurt motor show. Based around a 3.0 litre V6 engine which pumps out 375 horses, the C-X16′s performance is further enhanced by a ‘Formula One KERS’ inspired electric system which can throw out an additional 95bhp bringing it’s 0-60 time down to 5 seconds or can be used in 10 second bursts via a “push to pass” button on the dash and the top speed of the X-C16 is 186mph.
The overall design is aggressive but has references to it’s older brother the E-Type with its rectangular grille. The interior is modern with bold red lather and Alcantara suede on the dash and headliner.
