Smithson Martin’s Multi Touch Professional DJ system
When CDJ’s and laptops replaced vinyl in the clubs the whole showmanship of Dj-ing had suddenly been thrown out of the window. Back in the day when vinyl was king at least it looked like as if the DJ was doing some work, cutting & scratching- unlike today’s DJ who looks like as if he’s checking his emails. Smithson & Martin are about to re address this with their powerful emulator software and multi touch interface. Built around the DJ software Traktor Pro the system features a 42″ transparent multi-touch screen, which works in conjunction with an Optoma Pro Short throw rear projector which results in the Minority Report style surface where the DJ can mix and cut.
