Levi’s 511 Commuter Jeans

Levi's 511 Commuter. Jeans designed for cycling

Levi’s® have just announced their new 511 Commuter range which has been designed with the cyclist in mind. The collection comprises of their 511 skinny fit jean which comes in two different cuts (cropped or regular) and is available in denim and on-denim fabrics and a Commuter version of the classic Levi’s® Trucker Jacket.

Levi’s® have worked closely with Swiss-based Schoeller Technologies and they will be the first clothing manufacturer to use their Nanosphere® treatment on denim. Nanosphere® technology makes denim fabric water resistant, dirt repellant, durable and protective and coupled with Levi’s® use of Scotch Sanitized™ brand technology- which provides a antimicrobial protection against odors and 3M Scotchlite™ reflectivity material sewn into key areas of the garments, this all adds up to some serious techie jeans.

The 511 Commuter jean also features a raised back yolk that minimizes lower back gap, a reinforced crotch gusset that protects against ripping in this high stress area and a U-lock storage system and fabric reinforcements throughout.

The Commuter range will be available at selected independent bicycle shops and Levi’s® reatils stores later this summer.
