2012 Erik Buell Racing 1190RS Motorcycle


After working with the Harley Davidson crew for 30 years Erik Buell believed he had the engineering and technological prowess to take on foreign competition. For their inaugural motorcycle, Erik Buell Racing (EBR) created the 1190RS and what a  motorcycle it is.

The 1190RS sports a liquid cooled V twin engine with primary and secondary exhaust, peak torque at 97 ft/lbs @ 9400 rpms and horsepower at 175 hp @ 9750 rpm and features a aluminum tank that can holds 4.5 gallons of fuel. The 1190RS that stands at 30.5” at the seat, has front and rear magnesium wheels, 43 mm Öhlins inverted fork, adjustable compression damping, rebound damping adjustable spring preload for front suspension, and ISO finned rotor, 8 piston caliper with cooling duct for the front brake and also features a digital display. Erik Buell Racing will sell the exotic 1190RS for $39,999 with fiberglass bodywork, or $43,999 with the optional “Carbon Edition” body kit shown here, saving 5 lbs.
